A Chinese porcelain blue and white ‘Phoenix and Crane’ bowl.
Qing dynasty, 19th century.
The bowl with a slightly everting rim, resting on a high foot, the outer body decorated in underglaze blue with a phoenix flying in the clouds above the waves, the inside adorned with a crane bird in flight surrounded by clouds.
